My Legs Are My New Obsession

It's so easy to get caught up on the things we wish to change about ourselves that it begins to overshadow the things we should love about ourselves. Women have so much maintenance to keep up with from Hair, skincare, manicures, pedicures, gym and the list goes on. That they don't get to really focus on the beautiful attributes that god has blessed them with. In my journey of self acceptance I've learn to express my personality through clothing. For years I wouldn't wear certain clothing because of my body , but I realized that my confidence grew as I start shedding layers of clothing I love to look sexy at the appropriate time. It starts by  learning what compliments your body and what doesn't compliments your body. Being a plus size doesn't mean you can wear everything that everyone else wears it means wear what works for you. Every woman carries her weight differently and  in my case I carry my weight in the lower part of my stomach. I find that wearing a pair of high waisted loose fitting pants and a form fitting top gives me the ability to show my mid drift area without looking unflattering.  Another way I enjoy to style my items is wearing a over sized Jacket, or blazer with a form fitting skirt.  I love to show off my legs and my mid drift area I just think is SUPER sexy and It shows that I'm confident in my skin so please don't *TRY IT*. On this particular post I decided to rock my army jacket from Simply be, a neon yellow body con skirt from Forever21 with some sexy lace up shoes. After reviewing all the pictures I couldn't help but to notice how sexy my legs were. I was amazed because this is something that really boost my confidence because I don't do any leg exercise or anything. After posting the pictures of Instagram and receiving so much positive feed back over 500 likes and 30 comments I felt amazing. It showed me to embrace what god has blessed me with and work on the things I want to change. Not that I don't already but every now and then I'm doubtful. I encourage of my viewers to find one thing you love about yourself and leave it in a comment below. Whether it be your hair, your smile, your face structure, your eyes just share with me. I challenge you to ask friends and family member as well "What is one thing you love about yourself that gives you that extra confidence.

DIY Tube Top.. How To Style Ankle Trousers

As a fashion blogger my goal is to be able to showcase a variety of pieces and not only cater to one type of clothing. We all have things we normally wouldn't wear but why not...Lets start to do the unusual.

I had these white trousers for over a year and I wore them one time to an event with my mom. The event was basically for older people so I knew that I had to dress Conservative. I wasn't really feeling the pants at first but after going through my spring and summer wardrobe I came across these pants, and I was thinking of a way that I can style these pants for a beautiful spring day. I love the fit of the pants they have a great strtetch and the slim ankle just expose the curves of the body.

Now that I'm teaching myself how to sew the ability to make a quick top within in 10 mins is AWESOME. I had some left over material from  a project I did a couple of days before so I figured why not use my creative talent to make a fabulous top to go along with my pants. Since the pants are already a neutral color I wanted to add some jazz to my outfit so I choose to add some pops of color and some print.

 I choose to add a bright pink blazer, a poka dot tube top, and turquiose peep toe wedges. My favorite part of the look would have to be the shoes.

A Curvy Spring Lookbook *Collab*

Hey Ladies I know you all are excited for spring trends . I know that I am. I have teamed up with two fabulous ladies Chante fashion blogger and owner of Everything Curvy and Chic boutique, also fashion blogger Shaina to  give you guys fabulous looks that are defintiely trendy for this spring. I love spring because it just gives me more of a reason to take off the layers. For years I wouldn't wear shorts or show off my arms but now you cant stop me. Bold Colors and Prints

 

 

Hey beauties I have recently teamed up with a hair company based out of Atlanta. The company is Dreamzzhairco and they provide Malaysian, Brazilian, Eurasian, and Peruvian Virgin hair. They have a variety styles from ripple wave to body wave extensions. They also have clip in extensions for you beauties that love to switch up on hair styles and doesn't a full sew in. I'm rocking Malaysian extensions and the textures is straight. I have 3 bundles installed in inches 18, 20, and 22. When I first received the hair it was packed and tied with beautiful white ribbon. The hair was odorless and it it smelled just like clean fresh hair. The hair was colored to a natural black color to compliment my hair color and I must say I'm in LOVE with this hair.

Since I this hair has been installed I have not experienced any shedding nor any tangling which is a major plus. The Malaysian straight is great for you beauties that have a natural wavy texture like myself. Blending is effortless and I find myself not using any heat everyday but more so every 2-3 days. To add a little shine to the hair I use a very small amount of Moroccan oil and this oil is very light weight the hair has not lost its body at all.

I can't wait to do a re-install and add two more bundles of 30 inches. Can we say BEYONCE !! realness. I will be sure to give you guys an update and show the different styles I achieve with this install . Hey guys so I have been really wanting to start sewing clothes and here are the first items I made. Excited is an  understatement I'm so looking forward to the growth and experience in utilizing my talent and creativity.
You guys know how much I live for black and leather and I'm so not wanting to let go for spring and summer. lol. I would look absolutely ridiculous in black and leather in the summer time . I know fashion has no rules but that would really out of this planet. The first I thing I was anxious to make is faux leather skater skirt. I seen one on Asos.com but I didn't want to spend $100 on something I probably would only wear once. As you guys can see the back of the skirt looks SHORT. . I think my buns are growing. So next time I'm going to extend the inches of the skirt in the back. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome being that it was my very first time making something. * Hits The Dougie*

Next I decided to make a neon yellow tank top  with a mock neck. This shirt is made of spandex material that has a great stretch and very light weight. I love black leather paired with a bright color. So electric and bold wish definitely compliments my style.  I love that I'm able to have a vision in my head and now seeing it come to life is the best feeling. Honestly for my body I sometimes struggle with finding items that are great for my wide shoulders and big arms. To me the items I usually find are boring so I find myself always going to the cleaners or getting something custom made.

Words can't express the joy Simplybeusa has brought to my life. Simplybe teamed up with one of  the most adorable fashion bloggers Nicolette Mason to do a contest via pinterest called
"Celebrating You" .
You had to upload boards selecting things in your life that you are happy about and that you admire. Whether it be your legs, or maybe your smile, or even your  family values. We as people are so fast to critique and scrutinize ourselves for all that we want to change but for some reason things are not working out in our favor. Im guilty at charge for this because I'm such a perfectionist. So I decide to celebrate some things in my life that really mean a lot to me. Most importantly I wanted to celebrate my ability to continue to spread love. I believe love is the cure to all evil and if people knew that someone love them a lot people will be saved from suicide actions. It is easy to tear down a others after you have been hurt but it takes a strong soul to uplift others after a tremendous amount of pain.  I'm so grateful for SALVATION beacuse my life is so much more worth living. I'm  thankful for Simplybe for letting me have a voice to encourage others to be happy about the little things in their life. If I never win another thing else in life this is one thing I will never forget. I had amazing weeknd that was filled with glam, lights, cameras, and fashion. There were two other winners Erin and Kristin and we had the time of ourlives. Up for grabs was an amazing photoshootstyled by Nicolette, partying with some amazing fashion bloogers, and some simply goodies. This was my first photoshoot ever with a full glam squad it was such amazing feeling to get pampered. I felt like BEYONCE on set . Lol.

Party Time

After a long day of shooting, hair, makeup, and wardrobe changing. The shoot was followed by a party at Pravda a russian resturant in Soho. The party was to showcase Simplybe's new spring/summer collection.We were in great company of laugther, cocktails, and amazing plus size and curvy bloggers. I think I really enjoyed myself there it was so nice to meet women that I admire and who inspires me.

Black in White are definitely two classic colors that screams chic. This past winter many designers have introduce Monochrome styles to their line and seems like the trend is now taking over spring.
