Hey Dolls I'm always excited to share designs that cater to women that wear extended sizes. Many popular designers and retail stores only design clothes from women that wear average sizes such as sizes 18-24.

Pearls, Gems, and Studs

As the weather gets cooler the more I dread wearing a big winter coat. I’m a blazer and layering type of girl, I’m not a big fan of heavy coats so I will enjoy these days of still being able to show some skin. When transiting my looks from summer to fall I always start by changing up my footwear. It so easy to wear some summer items in the fall by adding a closed toe shoe and a long sleeved shirt y. I also love pairing simple items with items that have a bit of detailing. I like to think of it as opposites attract, and it so makes sense. I wore a vibrant fuchsia skater skirt with a long sleeved crew neck and studded booties. I love the two items together because the shirt is plain but has feminine detailing on the shoulder. For my footwear I added a pair of studded booties and a gemmed clutch as part of my accessories. Enjoy the last warm days of Fall while you can ladies

Hey Dolls this is my first entire in the Fashion Faceoff for Fall/Winter fashion between the plus size bloggers and this challenge was created by Kelly of Masquemag. I'm super thrilled to join the challenge because it pushes me and challenges me to wear something different than what I would normally wear.

I found this sweet heart plaid skater dress from Pink Clove . Pink Clove is an affordable plus size clothing company based out of the UK. They offer the latest trends in sizes  16-32 and I think that is brilliant. I love the fact they that they provide extended sizes and still design flattering clothes for plus size women. I absolutely love this company and I'm thrilled to order from them again.

 SIZE CHART

I'm totally not a sweet heart so I had to add some edge to this dress. I was really inspired by Ciara with this look. She wear boyish clothing but add her own touch of femininity.

Simplybe's Power Moto Jacket

Sunday, September 8, 2013

Say Hello to fall.. I'm so excited about looks for this fall season and to me fall is all about layering up. Motto leather jackets are a must have item for your fall wardrobe. There are so many ways you can dress up this jacket as well as dress it down. Motto jackets comes in all colors and some have more details than others. It all depends of your personal style. I decided to pair my motto jacket from Simplybe with this faux leather skirt. Also, with a faux leather crop top and to add a pop of color I added the neon satchel. I love the mixture of materials in this look all though everything is black the netted shoe with patent detailing makes the look more interesting. It is also very versatile very edgy and sexy at the same time.

The Essence Of Me Gets Me High

"Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid of failure. Failure is a steppingstone to GREATNESS"

It has been a while since I did a blog post but thank you guys for the continuous support. The past two months have been so emotional for me and I had to just step back. I would prepare to do blog posts and realize the material I was putting out was not up to my standards. I'm an emotional eater which caused me to gain some weight. Being in the public eye you always want to look your best because if not the world will definitely let you know that you are slipping. However I went to my best friends baby shower this weekend which was an all white event. I totally took advantage of this as the perfect time to comeback to blogging. I always have these extraordinary ideas in my head of looks that I want to recreate. If you haven't notice the floral headbands have been all of the rage for summer. I love them but I love to stand out and do my own thing. So, decided to go to the fabric store and design my own "crown". I totally fell in love with this trimming and it reminded me of GREECE. At that moment I had my whole outfit all figured out, it's so amazing your mood has an impact of your fashion picks.

What Gives Me Inspiration

Sunday, July 28, 2013

Hello loves I'm pretty sure if you follow me on Instagram you have seen these photos before. I prepared this look months ago for a blog post but for some reason I never uploaded the post. I guess I was saving it for the perfect moment and for  the perfect post. Lately I have been over whelmed with work that it sucks the life out of me and I just haven't been pleased with the blog posts I have been doing. I'm so hard on myself because I know that I have talent and I don't ever want it to go to waste. Many people see blogging as a hobby and playing dress up but no one truly knows the work that goes into creating a blog post. I'm such a perfectionist that everything has to be well put together for me to be satisfied with my pictures. I will go to the extreme to get something I need for a post. I'm truly passionate about fashion and I couldn't imagine my life without  blogging but at times life does have a way of knocking you down. One day I was  going through my pictures in my phone on my lunch break and I came across these photos and my heart began to smile. At the very moment I was yet in love all over again with myself, my confidence level is through the roof and there is just know way I can let anything stop me for doing what god called me to do. Looking back over my life from 1 year ago I've grown so much and that just gives me so much inspiration to keep pushing past my obstacles.  Loving yourself is the best feeling in this world and I will continue to encourage you all to be Fierce & Confdent
I thank you all for the continuous support and kind words.

Sexy sexy.. Hey Beauties its summertime and we need to show out. Your body is not perfect but hey flaunt what you got. I saw this amazing dress on Asos and I had to have it. The Aztec print was so unique and  I had to find a way to make my outfit extraordinary.
Keeping up with my promise to stray away from black clothing I decided to add a very striking pop of color. I had this amazing metallic gold material leftover and decided to make it a turban. With every outfit accessories are the icing on the cake for your look. I added the turban and a gold bracelet to finish off my look. I love the combination of the olive green with the metallic gold. This dress is perfect for night or day and if you want to dress it down you can pair it with  really cute flats and a big tote bag. I wanted to go for a sexy look with this dress so I added my fabulous lace-up heels by Luichiny. When selecting body con dresses by any brand be sure to wear the proper under garments. "Get it Tight" "Get It Right"

I hope to see all of you gals showing off your curves this summer .xoxoxo

COlOR ME It's My Birthday

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Hey Beauties. If you guys didn't know I just celebrated 24 years of life on June 8th, 2013 and I'm so thankful to my lord and savior. To celebrate my birthday I went to dinner with some of my close friends at Teak Restaurant in Hoboken NJ. Of course the best part of my special day was getting dolled up. I wore this beautiful colored Aztec print dress from Asos that I loved and I'm so glad that I went down two sizes when ordering this dress. The dress is mid knee length and I had to actually sew it in to give me the fit that I wanted  for this dress. When ordering dresses that are made of any stretch material from Asos I advise to go down a size or two for the proper fit.

I'm so proud of myself for wearing color. I'm such a Lover for black that when I'm shopping that's the first color  I look for. I loved how everything came together with the pop of color on my lips and my accessories. I wish I could have gotten a close up of my makeup but the birthday girl was a little tipsy and forgot the camera. I know I know *Birthday Behavior*  Happy Birthday to all my fellow Gemini's. Whoop Whoop.

Lets Talk Shape Wear

Thursday, May 16, 2013

So summer is here and I know you ladies are definitely going be wearing fabulous dresses, skirts, shorts, and swimwear. To me most plus size woman are mostly concerned about their tummy area. That is the area where all the weight goes and the proper shape wear is very important especially when wearing body fitting clothing. Sometimes women don't invest into certain undergarments because they feel as though the price is too much. I encourage you all to try items out for yourself and get what works for you. I know a lot of women are won over by the squeem body shaper but in my opinion its not the best body shaper.

Squeem

The squeem does pull you in a great amount but however depending on your body type it creates a pouch at the bottom of the stomach area. Which means you would have to wear a pantie girdle to smooth it out. Before I had knowledge of other shape wear I did buy a squeem I believe its costs around $80. As it started getting closer to spring and summer I wanted a girdle that was very light weight but got the job done. Usually I don't shop in Catherine's but I tried numerous pantie girdles and the support was not good at all. I wear a size 26-28 and I need something that would stay in place and not roll down as I'm moving through out the day. I brought this pantie girdle for $27.00 at Catherine's and I was so amazed in the difference of my clothing from the squeem and this undergarment. I look more well put together and this is how Im able to sexy clothing that exposes my mid drift area.  I say this to say never cast out a store because you think the store doesn't have something for your age group. Always shop around and try things out on your own. Just because a item is pricey doesn't mean it's the best product on the market.

This Bodyshaper is called the Flexees and it is made by Maidenform. The Flexees Instant Slimmer Brief is made of a soft stretch nylon blend. The brief is seamless so you don't have to worry about any lines showing through your clothing . For all of my women that are extended sizes such as 28 and up flexees has briefs for you as well. This lines carries up to a 10x and be sure to get the right size for amazing results. I hope this is helpful and encourages you all to show some skin this summer.

Introducing Ashley Nell Tipton

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Hey Beauties I would like to introduce a fabulous young lady by the name of Ashley Nell Tipton. This 21 yr old designer was raised in San Diego, California were she found her love for sewing by designing clothes for her barbies. She learned how to sew at the age of  7 and that's where her journey began. I first learned of this amazing talented young lady after reading her interview with Plus Model Magazine last year.  I was so amazed by the exquisite designs of her collection and I couldn't wait to see more . Ashley started designing in high school and then went to Fashion Careers College in San Diego to pursue her dream of becoming a plus size designer. After attending school for 18 months Ashley was able to graduate and create her own collection for plus size women. Little did Ashley know this would be the jump start of her career. She posted her designs onto Tumblr and was invited to showcase her collection at FFFweek  2012 in NYC.

INSPIRED BY FRENCH AND PARISIAN STYLING

I remember emailing Ashley asking her when I would be able to purchase items from the collection and she promised it would be soon. Ashley recently posted that her collection would launch in Mid May 2013  on instagram and I was so excited. I absolutely love her designs because I feel that its playful, chic, and edgy. Her collection also caters to plus size women up to a 6x and in my opinion Ashley has definitely set the bar for other Plus Size Designers and Plus Size Retail Stores. As a wardrobe stylist I have yet to see a retailer or designer that designs clothes for women whom wear a size 6x. I believe that a lot of women that aren't a 1x -3x struggle with finding fabulous clothes to fit them and that's why they are subjected to wearing unflattering clothes. Now that Ashley has made fabulous clothing in extended sizes I know for sure a lot of women wardrobe disasters are over.

Ashley is definitely a designer I want to work with in the future to built my styling portfolio and god willing my prayers will be answered *fingers crossed*  Until that time comes you guys will definitely see me rocking items from her collection.

Here are some items.

My Legs Are My New Obsession

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

It's so easy to get caught up on the things we wish to change about ourselves that it begins to overshadow the things we should love about ourselves. Women have so much maintenance to keep up with from Hair, skincare, manicures, pedicures, gym and the list goes on. That they don't get to really focus on the beautiful attributes that god has blessed them with. In my journey of self acceptance I've learn to express my personality through clothing. For years I wouldn't wear certain clothing because of my body , but I realized that my confidence grew as I start shedding layers of clothing I love to look sexy at the appropriate time. It starts by  learning what compliments your body and what doesn't compliments your body. Being a plus size doesn't mean you can wear everything that everyone else wears it means wear what works for you. Every woman carries her weight differently and  in my case I carry my weight in the lower part of my stomach. I find that wearing a pair of high waisted loose fitting pants and a form fitting top gives me the ability to show my mid drift area without looking unflattering.  Another way I enjoy to style my items is wearing a over sized Jacket, or blazer with a form fitting skirt.  I love to show off my legs and my mid drift area I just think is SUPER sexy and It shows that I'm confident in my skin so please don't *TRY IT*. On this particular post I decided to rock my army jacket from Simply be, a neon yellow body con skirt from Forever21 with some sexy lace up shoes. After reviewing all the pictures I couldn't help but to notice how sexy my legs were. I was amazed because this is something that really boost my confidence because I don't do any leg exercise or anything. After posting the pictures of Instagram and receiving so much positive feed back over 500 likes and 30 comments I felt amazing. It showed me to embrace what god has blessed me with and work on the things I want to change. Not that I don't already but every now and then I'm doubtful. I encourage of my viewers to find one thing you love about yourself and leave it in a comment below. Whether it be your hair, your smile, your face structure, your eyes just share with me. I challenge you to ask friends and family member as well "What is one thing you love about yourself that gives you that extra confidence.
